For the crafty and the not so crafty, visit Michaels.com and get some fun and easy ideas. This is the product of the Michael's Craft Stores retail chain, but it is not just a commercial website. Actually you cannot even order online. What they do offer is lots of free project information. There is a store locator option as well as a calendar of upcoming craft classes. Some of the classes are even offered free and would be fun for both beginner and skilled crafters.
The projects are varied and plentiful. The time required to make the craft as well as the skill level needed is stated before you even begin the project. There are photos of the craft so you know if the finished creation is even close to how it is supposed to look. The Garden Wind Chimes are considered "easier" and can be completed in one hour. The Beads & Wild Wire Napkin Rings, also "easier" will only take 30 minutes. There are some great homemade gift ideas here. Best of all, no crocheted potholder instructions!
Planning a wedding? You can get help with flowers, headpieces, and favors and even create your own invitations.
If your kids like creative play, then select the Kids Club icon and get great ideas for them to do at home. There is online coloring and they can send electronic cards to their friends. Michael's even offers a free email newsletter for kids.
