Kid's are natural artists, and they love to do things with their hands. They especially delight in stuff that is gooey and messy. Sometimes they put all the wrong stuff in their mouths---Yikes! What's a mother to do? Make an easy and delicious batch of edible modeling clay, let the kids mold it into lots of shapes, and eat their creations when they are done!

Here are three recipes guaranteed to please:

Chocolate Clay

Melt the chocolate in a microwave for 1 minute. Stir. (If chocolate is not completely melted, return it to the microwave for an additional 30 seconds. If you don't have a microwave, place the chocolate in the top of a double broiler over hot water andand stir until melted).

When the chocolate is melted, add the corn syrup and blend.

Pour the mixture onto a waxed paper sheet.

Spread the chocolate with your fingers until it's about 1/2 inch thick.

Cover loosely with waxed paper and let it stiffen for at least a couple hours or overnight. The chocolate will become very pliable.

Peanut Butter Clay

In a medium-size bowl, stir together until smooth:

Form the dough into a ball with your hands and shape. (if it's too dry, add more honey; if it's too moist, add more powdered milk).

Edible Play Dough

Mix all ingredients together and shape.

Can be refrigerated in plastic bag or bowl.
